It Only Takes A Second
Smoking is still the number one cause of fatal house fires in Scotland. It was important to draw attention to this shocking fact, and try to encourage people who do smoke, to smoke outside.
In an attempt to subvert the usual marketing strategy of reactive thinking, the creative reversed the traditional idea of building up to the shock factor, and instead started with it, showing there is still time to make the right choice. By attempting to change behaviour by being proactive, rather than reactive, it shows it only takes a second make the right decision to smoke outside.
